So many questions...

So I know I have no readers....but hopefully soon enough. I have some questions so when you find this blog....please answer away.

1. Do you buy mostly yardage or fat quarters?
2. Do you have plans for all the fabric you buy....or just hope ones comes?
3. What are you favorite patterns...remember I am a semi-beginner?
4. What is your favorite quilting blog?

I am sure I have so many more....but here is a start.

Hi ... I saw your post on "crazy mom quilts". I'm new to blogging also. I had to smile since I'm pretty sure no one is reading anything I post too. So to answer you questions.
1. I usually buy yardage. If I have a pattern that I'm making I buy more fabric than the requirements call for.
2. Sometimes I have a quilt in mind, but generally I buy on speculation. That's the reason my basement is called the "Treasure Chest" by my friends.
3. I love Art To Heart books. After 30 some years of quilting, I don't gravitate to the harder patterns anymore. The quicker the better, could be my mortality clock ticking. I just want to get them finished.
Hope you'll stop by my blog!

Hi! Just thought I would chime in and tell ya my preferences. I've been quilting for about 5 years now.
1. I like both fat quarters and yardage, I find it harder to cut into a fat quarter bundle because I don't want to mess it up because it looks so cute though.
2. My new goal is only to buy if I have a plan. Unless like today they have some really great fabric in the remnant bin.
3. Favorite patterns...hmmm. I have yet to find anything I would make again. I do like Buggy Barn, but some people like my mom and friend can't stand them.
4. Check out my blog for a list of some of the other blogs I visit.
Wow, I think my reply was longer than your post, so sorry! Enjoy quilting and blogging!

My favorite fabrics, so far, Nancy Halvorsen and Amy Bulter. It depends on which project for size of fabric cut. If larger or seasonal, I go for yardages.

Hi M. If you see a fabric you really love, by as much as you can afford, because once they're gone they're GONE! That's my story and I'm stickin' to it. :-)

Welcome to the world of blogging! Here are my answers to your questions;
1. Do you buy mostly yardage or fat quarters?
More 1/4 yards because I love to make scrap quilts & I really have enough fabric for my lifetime. But if I really like something I'll get a yard or two. If you REALLY love something, get as much as you can afford.
2. Do you have plans for all the fabric you buy....or just hope ones comes?
More often I don't have a specific plan, I just get what I love.
3. What are you favorite patterns...remember I am a semi-beginner?
I don't really have a fave, I look at everything I can, it's really inspiring to see all the wonderful things all these talented people are making.
4. What is your favorite quilting blog?
I have a lot of those, I need to figure out how to post a list on my sidebar.
